‘Tis the season of giving because this holiday, streaming platforms are coming in clutch with their small-screen offerings to keep you well-fed and entertained all month long. From high-octane fantasy epics and heart-pumping crime thrillers to the return of fan-favourite shows, here are 13 new films and TV shows to stream in December 2023.

 

Sweet Home 2 

When and where: 1 December 2023 on Netflix 

Watch if: You want to watch more monster brawls

Starring: Song Kang, Lee Si Young, Lee Jin Uk, Go Min Si 

Picking up immediately where the cliffhanger in season one left audiences, Sweet Home returns with higher stakes and scarier monsters. As humans turn into savage creatures and the world plunges into terror, the remaining survivors must rally together to fight for their lives and hold on to their humanity as they to find answers to this mysterious phenomenon.

Featuring exclusive eyewitness interviews and previously unseen crime scene photos, Murder Without a Trial will shed new light on the life and death of Lennon and the investigation that led to the conviction of his confessed killer, Mark David Chapman.

Now a highly accomplished music conductor, she returns to Seoul to revive the city’s philharmonic orchestra. While traversing this competitive environment, she must uncover the mysterious person who is threatening to expose a secret from her past to the world.

Watch if: Binging a reality dating show is your guilty pleasure

If you thought season two of Single’s Inferno was hot, you’ve got something sizzling coming your way real soon! The hit South Korean reality dating show returns for its third season, this time with devilish new rules, twists and turns. According to Yoo Ki Hwan, Netflix’s unscripted lead for Korea, “What used to be ‘Paradise’ and ‘Inferno’ will change completely”, he tells Tudum. Another reason to tune in? Fan-favourite contestant Dex will be joining the panel to give his honest reactions and thoughts!

Overwhelmed by his failures, he decides to take his own life and is met with Death herself at the gates of Hell. As punishment, he is cursed to reincarnate 12 different times, living 12 new lives. To avoid being damned to eternal Hell, he must stop each of his reincarnation’s imminent deaths.
