This Airbnb house is a charming ode to Wes Anderson

Located in the picturesque municipality of Prince Edward County in southern Ontario, Canada—about a 2-hour drive east of Toronto, and 3.5 hours from Montreal—each room in this home is inspired by a different Wes Anderson film. The Airbnb host Dayna Winter calls it Mr. Anderson’s House, an ever-evolving design project that is her love letter to the renown director.

Winter, an art major, designed the home herself. “The idea sprang from not only my desire to live in a Wes Anderson set, but also as a way to stand out in an area that’s saturated with Airbnb options. I’ve always loved themes and dress-up and have done several Wes Anderson characters for Halloween. It seemed like a great fit and a fun challenge,” she told Lonely Planet Travel News

While the rooms are not exactly replications of the director’s film sets, they feature movie memorabilia and thoughtful details that will surely please visitors, sourced by Winter from thrift shops and vintage markets. One of the bedrooms is dedicated to Margot Tenenbaum from The Royal Tenenbaums (her signature fur coat included), while the living room, called S.S. Belafonte, wears a nautical theme à la The Life Aquatic.
