7 Head-turning beauty looks we love from Paris Fashion Week AW17

Chanel

At Chanel, it was space-age meets Barbarella with models donning hair so big you could spot them from the farthest seat. Ultra teased bouffants were worn with metallic, knit, and sequined headbands for a luxe winter getaway look, while ’60s makeup references such as graphic curved liner and clumpy lashes made the most of the metallic eye makeup look.

Valentino

Valentino taught us a thing or two about pulling off eyeliner the unconventional way—opt for a reverse liner with a matching lip colour. Nothing screams a statement as much as a burgundy-red eyeliner along the lower lash lines, replete with a touch of black liner on the upper lash lines and a bold cat-eye flick.

Issey Miyake

An apt reference to the theme of the collection—the beauty of the aurora borealis and its rippling colours, models’ hair at Issey Miyake were given a metallic treatment and looped around the head to resemble a headband. Or, quite literally, a hairband.

Balmain

To match the rockstar-esque ensembles that the models were wearing, the beauty look at Balmain straddled the line between glamourous and fierce. Untraditional metallic smoky eyes complemented the gold lip jewellery, while ponytails with triple braids gave the look an extra edge.

Alexander McQueen

Waist-skimming hair is now a thing, if you didn’t know already, but Alexander McQueen gave us boho-chic inspo in the form of loose ponytails that were tied in two—one in the front on the chest and one behind.

Giambattista Valli

Want to ace the second-day hair and makeup look? Giambattista Valli showed us how it can be done the Parisienne way, with slicked back hair, clean skin, minimal brows, and not to mention, our favourite berry stained lip that comes with softened edges.

Leonard

At Leonard, super short blunt bangs and a futuristic eye makeup look (courtesy of a swipe of cyan blue over the lids) took centre stage—a testament that graphic liners never go out of style, and will come especially in handy if the memo of the night is to go bold or go home.
