Chanel Le Lift Pro Masque Uniformite, RM690

best anti ageing skincare

“As I approach my 30s, one thing is evidently inevitable: signs of ageing. I can’t help but notice fine lines appearing on my forehead and wrinkles around my eyes, particularly after a stressful day or lack of hydration. To be fair, I haven’t been using anti-ageing products as diligently as I should due to other skin concerns, but it was the perfect opportunity for me to start again when I got my hands on the Chanel Le Lift Pro Masque Uniformité.

“Over the past two weeks, I’ve applied this product as the last step of my daily evening skincare routine. My first impressions? I love the jelly texture, which spreads evenly across the skin without leaving any sticky residue! The spatula it comes with helps to ensure hygienic application too.

“The mask is enriched with a highly concentrated melipona enzymatic ingredient, which helps to reinforce the skin’s support and acts as a preventative measure against dark spots. With consistent use, my skin also appears more radiant and luminous, thanks to the combined effects of niacinamide and centella asiatica. The addition of glycerin and hyaluronic acid locks in the hydration I need too, especially after a long day. I’m definitely keeping this in my routine to help restore and maintain the balance of my youth triangle—AKA the area from the high points of my cheekbones to the tip of my chin!” — Natalie Khoo, Deputy Editor

La Prairie Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Cream, RM2,330

best anti ageing skincare

“I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t treat my body well. Late nights are a constant in my life, and it is starting to take a toll on my skin. There’s hardly ever a day where I don’t look tired—where my eyebags aren’t puffy and red, or where my dark circles aren’t prominent. Unfortunately, with my busy schedule, the late nights aren’t going anywhere. So, instead, I’ve been on the hunt for a good night’s sleep in a bottle.

“Well, I’ve found it! Technically, it comes in a jar but it fulfils all other criteria. La Prairie’s Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Cream has been formulated to help ‘support the skin’s metabolism and visibly restore the skin’s structure’, and that was about all the encouragement I needed to give it a go. As is true for most La Prairie products I’ve tried, the eye cream has a rich, creamy texture that glides and cushions the skin beautifully.

“Over the month I have been using this eye cream, I’ve been really impressed with the results. Not only are my eyes much less puffy and gaunt these days, but I’ve noticed that the texture around my eyes has smoothed out some. Fortunately, wrinkles aren’t a concern for me yet, but I can attest to the cream’s efficacy on fine lines—if there’s one thing this cream does, it’s tighten and tone up the skin! The only thing I would say is that it may be too rich for those who struggle with milia—steer clear if you’re very young and prone to congestion.” — Redzhanna Jazmin, Beauty Editor

Guerlain Orchidee Imperiale

best anti ageing products

“Upon first glance, the sleek gold and black Guerlain Orchidée Impériale Cream jar looks like the perfect skincare item to sit on your vanity for that special touch of luxury. I’ve been using it for a few weeks, and in that time, I have seen an improvement in my overall skin texture. Dry patches seem almost gone and my skin feels smoother and more bouncy to the touch. As for deeper wrinkles, it’s only been a few weeks, so I haven’t seen noticeable results. That said, I’m confident that a longer duration of use might yield stronger anti-ageing results!

“I like using this cream before putting on my makeup in the morning. Its slightly balmy texture creates the perfect canvas to glaze over imperfections, and my skin looks overall more even. And, if you have tired and dull-looking skin, using this cream before bedtime helps! You’ll wake up to radiant well-hydrated skin. I do wish it was lighter on the fragrance, though. While pleasant, lying in bed with a scent-heavy product can be a bit disruptive to the senses.” — Naseem Randhawa, Director of Special Projects

Caudalie Resveratrol-Lift Instant Firming Serum, RM315

best anti-ageing skincare

“I’ve always kept my skincare routine minimal, sticking to a cleanser, moisturiser, and sunscreen. However, these days, I’m noticing a lot more changes in my skin—with age catching up to me and the signs of ageing becoming more apparent on my skin, I’ve become more open to trying new products. The latest addition to my routine is the Instant Firming Serum by Caudalie. It took me a few weeks to see the results, but I have to say I love having it in my routine.

“Firstly, the consistency is just right—not too thick or sticky—which results in a pleasant application. The delightful fragrance is also an extra perk, but what is crucial is how swiftly the serum is absorbed, leaving my skin feeling soft and lovely. It doesn’t leave any stickiness or residue on the skin, so it’s easy for me to proceed with the next steps of my routine seamlessly. I’ve also noticed improved hydration in my skin (read: fine lines that have finally smoothed out), which has been great for areas of dehydration on my face. It’s gentle and easy on the skin while being effective, so I’m confident recommending this serum for all skin types.” — Benedict Unang, Fashion Writer

Augustinus Bader The Cream with TCF8, RM1,300

best anti ageing skincare

“Finding a great everyday moisturiser that really does it all is no easy feat, but I think I’ve done it. I’ve been struggling with acne and subsequent scarring as well as fine lines on my forehead and around my eyes, so I’ve been looking for a barrier-restoring formula that’ll nourish and smooth my skin in addition to healing up those pesky breakouts all in one step.

“This lightweight moisturiser ticks all the boxes—formulated with TFC8®, Augustinus Bader’s patented blend of amino acids, high-grade vitamins and peptides, this adaptive moisturiser works to support cellular renewal and dramatically improve the skin’s appearance. Plus, the added vitamins A, B5, and C as well as hydrolysed rice protein in the formula help to promote collagen production to improve elasticity in the skin, normalise the skin barrier, and calm irritation.

“Over the four months I’ve been using this moisturiser, I’ve noticed my breakouts healing up very nicely, leaving behind no pesky hyperpigmentation spots. That, and the worry lines that were cropping up on my forehead have all but smoothed over. I will say that it’s a little too lightweight for nighttime (that’s what The Rich Cream is for), but if you’re set on using it overnight, layering with a toner or essence step and a facial oil will work wonders!” — Redzhanna Jazmin, Beauty Editor
