LVMH will use its perfume and cosmetics factories to produce hand sanitiser
The 16,018 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in France has resulted in 674 deaths (as of 23 March). In light of this and the shortage of hand sanitiser in France, the big gun of the luxury powerhouse, Bernard Arnault, has instructed the LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics businesses to produce hand sanitiser to make up the demand.
Since Monday, 12,000 litres of hand sanitiser gel have been delivered to French health authorities and to the Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris, free of charge. It's an undeniably great initiative and a valiant effort against COVID-19—plus, Givenchy, Guerlain or Dior hand sanitiser is a low-key dream, eh?
