Blake Lively keeps us updated on her quarantine colour routine
POV: Deadpool dyes your hair. The Gossip Girl alum shared a fun, sped-up snippet of her hubby, Ryan Reynolds, exploring his craft as a hairdresser (along with a lively caption that reads "That time I f*d my hairdresser."). Scoring the video with 'God Only Knows' by The Beach Boys, the tongue-in-cheek post is completely on-brand for the couple.
Editing aside, we're genuinely gobsmacked at Reynold's sheer concentration. Equipped with a tint brush, some gloves, and impressive sectioning, his efforts would make Jon from Queer Eye proud—in fact, it did! Van Ness himself commented on the post to share his approval, pointing out that "the sectioning is really, really good".
In fact, the couple's influential friends chimed in with their support, with Ashley Tisdale exclaiming "What can’t he do?!" and Mindy Kaling declaring "omg this is so hot". Martha Stewart even took the opportunity to plug her business endeavours: "Actually my new @MarthaStewart48 secateuirs [sic] would do a wonderful job! I am available 24 hours a day". We've got to respect the grind.
Emma Stone is everything we could ever ask for in a live-action Cruella De Vil
Okay, yes—we also have Disney live-action fatigue (Writer's note: Seriously. When will they stop producing half-baked remakes of beloved classics and just make new movies?). However, the latest stills from the production house's latest endeavour has managed to pique our interest. Two words: Emma Stone.
A first look at the actress in-costume as a young Cruella De Vil had us doing double-takes all over. Stone is pretty unrecognisable without her typecast 'girl-next-door' look, which bodes well for her portrayal of Disney's most unredeemable villain (Friendly reminder: In case you forgot, Cruella's entire schtick is skinning puppies).
The film is due to launch in May of this year and features a supporting cast that includes Emma Thompson, Mark Strong, and Emily Beecham. You can watch the trailer here:
Kourtney Kardashian got one loved-up manicure...
...and BTW, she's dating Travis Barker now (yes, that Travis Barker from Blink-182).
The oldest Kardashian sister shared a picture of her very cool and unusual french tip—shaped like a heart in a vibrant red, it's the perfect date-night mani. The nail art is courtesy of celebrity nail artist Kim Truong, whose clientele includes the likes of Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian, and Jennifer Aniston.
Rina Sawayama is losing her mind, and we are here for it
In case you missed it, the pop star has started doing 'looks of the day' to keep her morale up during the UK's lockdown. The mini-series has blessed with a plethora of great looks that are easy to replicate at-home (duh, it's a quarantine series), for which we are eternally grateful. However, her latest look—an absolute banger—has left us speechless.
Sawayama describes her newest beauty beat as "80s??? I don’t even know anymore lol", which just about sums it up. From the strong lip line to her feathered, pink cat-eye, we're absolutely obsessed.
Demi Lovato's butterfly mani is perfect for long or short nails
If you're looking for a mani that looks just as good on your natural, short nails as it does on a pair of dramatic acrylics, you've found it. The singer took to her Instagram stories to share a Boomerang of her latest manicure. By the looks of it, Lovato has traded her lengthy talons for a shorter style, but she is certainly not compromising on nail art. The manicure features an iridescent, holographic base with a pretty butterfly overlay—perfect for manicures of any length!
Sofia Vergara is the latest celeb to launch a beauty line
WWD reports that the Modern Family star is the latest of celebs to launch a beauty line. The news is far from a shock; Vergara already has roots in the beauty industry, with four fragrances and countless partnerships under her belt.
So far, the name or the category of the brand is still unknown. However, Juan Matji, the president of Spain's Cantabria Labs, stated that the brand will be "offering the consumer a new generation of smart products and solutions for skincare, beauty and health that we expect to be a success in the United States".
In a statement to WWD, Vergara announced that the brand will be led by Chris Salgardo (who you may recognise as the former president of Kiehl's) in addition to partners Matji and Luis Balaguer. On Salgardo's appointment, Vergara explained: "Throughout his career, Chris has proven himself to be one of the beauty industry's most influential voices and leaders."
"His creativity, authenticity and track record for success make him an invaluable partner, and I am so excited to work with him and Cantabria Labs in this new endeavour," she continues.
Either way, it's unlikely that we'll be seeing the brand in Malaysia, at least for the foreseeable future. However, as always, if there are any changes, we'll be keeping you updated!
Millie Bobby Brown really, really wants to be a '90s kid
Just have a look at her latest post! The Stranger Things star is no stranger (no pun intended) to the '90s-slash-noughties renaissance that has swept social media recently.
Brown posted this super-cute hairdo to her Instagram earlier this week and everything from the middle-parted bangs to her super cute accessories is just screaming "#TBT". Throw in her ringer-style crop top and her high-waisted jeans and you've got yourself a true '90s kid (almost). All we're missing are a pair of barely-there brows and a less high-tech phone...
