Celebrity beauty moments from Cannes 2019 that deserve a double take

Star studded

Looks we love include: Deepika Padukone's scene-stealing headband, Elle Fanning's '50s-inspired look, and Bella Hadid's all-nude-out visage

We can't resist an awe-inducing celebrity beauty moment every once in a while, and this past two weeks has filled our quota of Pinterest-worthy inspiration for the whole year (not that we are complaining). This year's Cannes Film Festival has dropped a couple of surprising bombs—from the recent H&M and Giambattista Valli collaboration that was revealed during the amFAR Gala, to all the eye candy in the form of dapper gentlemen gracing the red carpet.

The beauty front held the fort with a dash of silver screen glamour and major star power during the first few days. Now that the festival has wrapped up after 11 days, we've compiled all the beauty moments that 1) stole our breaths and 2) made us itch for either a face/hair makeover. The eye makeup game was strong where these celebs were concerned: India's sweetheart (and highest-paid actress) Deepika Padukone and supermodel Coco Rocha gave us cat eyes so graphic that you could spot their fierce gazes a mile away, whereas Priyanka Chopra and Soo Joo Park went with a pop of colour and smattering of glitter for a festival-ready look.

There were a couple of hair transformations (and accessories) worth mentioning—Dame Helen Mirren's super stylish pastel pink hair belied her age, while Margot Robbie's homage to late actress Sharon Tate was immortalised in plaited locks that framed her face. Speaking of homages, Elle Fanning did Dior's 1950s "New Look" justice with a cannage-inspired hat and old Hollywood waves. Padukone turned heads once more a few days later with a sizable floral headband in pink that offset the neon lime hue of her exquisitely-ruffled Giambattista Valli gown.

Below, our favourite celebrity looks from Cannes Film Festival 2019 that are making us starry-eyed:
