Celebrity hair 2020: The prettiest hairdos that are perfect for Valentine’s Day

Got major plans this February 14? From getting the right outfit and scoring a picture-perfect makeup look, to making ideal dinner reservation spots, prepping for Valentine’s (or Galentine’s) date night can be stressful to say the least. To unload the unnecessary stress off of your shoulders, here is a list of celebrity hair ideas that you can glean some inspo from. Ahead, peep how these celebrities fashion their tresses in the chic-est (and most romantic) ways.

Jennifer Lopez

A go-to dreamy V-Day look typically revolves around waves, but who better to take hair inspiration from than the diva Jennifer Lopez herself? This week, the female powerhouse successfully pulled off a fierce performance with pop star Shakira at the Super Bowl halftime show.

Her performance wasn’t the only thing that got all the attention—her va-va-voom locks garnered major love too. With this hairstyle, the singer definitely lived up to her nickname, “Bronx Barbie”. Cop this perfect hairdo for your night out with lots (and lots) of hairspray and perhaps more extensions than you think you need.

Laura Harrier

The Spider-Man: Homecoming actress’ low tousled ponytail is made of dreams. It isn’t as complex as it looks; all you have to do is curl your hair into beachy waves with a flat or curling iron—then clinching it into a low ponytail and pulling a few strands out to frame your face.

Lucy Boynton

Actress Lucy Boynton is your go-to celebrity for short hair inspo—her choppy bob has been styled in a myriad of crush-worthy looks. If you have short hair and not too sure on how to style it, tuck it into a tiny bun like hers. For a messy bob, just curl your hair into waves. Another alternative is to leave it au naturel and wear your favourite hair accessories for a minimal look.

Zoë Kravitz

A pixie cut definitely strikes a balance between edgy and alluring—dare we say that some are just cut out for it? Puns aside, get Kravitz’s look by aceing the bare minimum and let the wonders of your haircut do its magic on your night out.

Jessica Alba

The girly-girl headband trend has proven that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, spotted on celebs such as Ariana Grande, Bella Hadid and Jessica Alba. Add more volume to your locks by blowing your hair upside down before back-combing it with a fine-tooth comb. In case you need an extra oomph, clip on hair extensions for a fuller look.

Hailey Bieber

High fashion model Hailey Bieber attended husband Justin Bieber’s documentary premiere, ‘Seasons‘, all glammed up. Her top knot bun with face-framing waves toes the line between effortless and playful. Can we also talk about how chic her makeup look is here?

Charlize Theron

Oscar nominee Charlize Theron looked like a million bucks at the recent Costume Designer’s Guild Awards (CDGA) 2020. Never one to disappoint when it comes to delivering class and elegance on the red carpet, the South African actress let her gilded dress speak for itself, complementing it with a custom-made Louis Vuitton bejeweled headband. If you’re still growing your hair out from a pixie cut, this is a great way to style your hair this Valentine’s Day.

Zendaya

If you follow the 24-year-old actress on Instagram, this Disney alumni and Euphoria star is a big advocate on embracing natural beauty. Our fellow curly-haired girls out there—embrace your precious curls and put your straightener aside this time. Don’t forget a dollop of hair oil to keep your mane in place.

The Crazy Rich Asians star wore a dreamy floral gown last year at the Critics’ Choice Award. But worth mentioning is her ribboned braided ponytail. Get the look by braiding your tresses in a low ponytail, and clip a bow on the top of the braid (opt for a coloured ribbon if you’re feeling fancy).
