Looking for a great Halloween costume that’s easy to slip into post-office hours this Friday? We’ve got you covered.
In case you forgot, the best holiday of the year is coming up this Friday, 31 October. Happy Halloween! Now, if you’re reading this, it means you haven’t gotten your costume sorted ahead of time, and you’re now scrambling for a contingency.
Luckily for you, we’re brimming with costume inspo. Unfortunately, most of it is completely stupid. Still, if you’re chronically online and desperate for a quick spooky solution, we’ve got you covered. Ahead, find five chronically online Halloween costumes to rock this weekend:
#1: Carrie Bradshaw saying, “Get it while it’s hot!”
@telyhouse
This costume is perfect for the girls who don’t want to dress up, but still want to come in costume. Better yet—it doubles as dinner!
How to be Carrie: Slick your hair back into a neat bun and keep makeup super minimal. Then, put on a pair of slim jeans or capris and layer a wrap sweater over a brown t-shirt. And, for the big tell, make sure you’re donning your prettiest pair of Manolos!
And, if your friends are in need of a costume, you can come as the Carrie-At-Big’s-Door trifecta, including “Well, laugh—it’s a joke”, and “Bonjour! Voila! Le French hat. Voila! Le French fries”.
#2: Regina George and Rodrick Heffley

Looking for a couple’s costume? Look no further. If you haven’t seen the fan edits of this unlikely duo, you’re missing out. The best part? It’s pretty easy to replicate their looks with what you already have in your wardrobe.

How to be Regina: Don a white tank top paired with a black miniskirt, a pink cardigan and a killer pair of stilettos. Then, finish the look with straightened locks (blonde optional) and fresh, rosy makeup.
How to be Rodrick: Pull on a black t-shirt, black jeans, and mess up your hair. Then, to complete the look, swipe and smudge on a little black liner and tousle your hair with styling clay.
#3: Drunk Taylor Swift on the Midnight Rain Spotify visualiser
This costume works best if people see you from the eyes up… and cropped in from the shoulders. Still, any seasoned Swiftie is bound to get the gag.

How to be Taylor: The key to nailing this look is getting the beauty beat down. For the hair, you’ll need to rock some blunt bangs and a messy bun—whether you’re going method with a pair of scissors or opting for a wig is up to you. Then, for makeup, cover your lids in as much green sparkle as you can, line your eyes with a dramatic wing, and top it off with a little blush and lipstick. Then, sell the look with the performance of a lifetime (and a pale blue or white ribbed turtleneck).
#4: Vanessa Hudgens in the ‘Sneakernight’ music video
This may not look like the easiest costume to put together, but trust us—it is. All you have to do is wear everything you own in your wardrobe, all at once! From there, basically, what you’re going to do is dance…
How to be Vanessa: The makeup calls for classically 2000s glam, including intensely bronzed skin, heavy lashes and liner, and stick straight, fried tresses. For the outfit, don an unfathomable combination of white shorts, a pink t-shirt, a sequinned top, a hoodie, and a fedora. The more unhinged the combinations, the better. Remember, we’re not going for faithful—we’re just trying to capture the vibe. Oh, and make sure to top it all off with a pair of tube socks and your best heeled sneakers!
#5: Princess Diana jogging

This one is for the athletes! It’s easy to put together, and the dance-friendly footwear guarantees that you’ll be comfy all night long. Better yet, if you get bored with the party you’re at, you can just pick up and scamper away.
How to be Princess Di: Throw on your best black bike shorts, a sports bra, and an oversized grey sweatshirt (Harvard branding optional!). Then, complete the look with a pair of trainers layered over tube socks and a pair of incognito sunnies.
