4 Celeb-inspired lipstick looks you need to try

If you’ve been longing to achieve that perfectly-lined rosy pout you see on celebrities on the red carpet but you’re not sure where to start, here are a few options you can go for that are brand-spanking new and absolutely worth trying.

Elizabeth Bank’s fair complexion with pink undertones makes this brilliant pink lippie work. We recommend the latest Dior Addict in Lucky (536) for a bold, standout look. The first lipstick of its kind with an integrated top coat, glide it over your lips for a layer of sheer, glossy film with an extra dose of shine.

You can never go wrong with a nude lip, which is exceptionally great for a look that incorporates more dramatic eye makeup such as Taylor’s look here. Depending on your skin tone, M.A.C Veluxe à Trois in How Tropical and Pillow Talk, RM 74 each, are two limited edition, nude cremesheen colours in the new collection that are excellent choices for darker eye makeup—the former being a creamy beige nude and the latter a warm creamy nude.

Emma Watson’s berry-hued lip colour here is to-die-for, especially when her eye make-up and subtly-blended-out blush goes beautifully well with it. For a similar looking deep wine colour, go for Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge in Le Pourpre, RM 95.40—an intense purple lipstick with a velvet matte, highly pigmented finish that promises to moisturise your lips and holds for up to 6 hours.

A classic, go-to lip colour, retro red never fails for any occasion be it in the day or night time such as Emily Blunt’s red-hot lipstick here, exuding glamour and grace effortlessly. Our pick is Laura Mercier’s Lip Parfait Creamy Colourbalm in Red Velvet, RM 99—a balmy formula that offers the comfort of a lip balm, the coverage of a lipstick and the high shine of a lipgloss.
