7 Things you can do this weekend: 28 – 29 January 2017

1. Dine at Lai Po Heen @ Mandarin Oriental KL for one of their CNY set menus, till 28 Feb

The restaurant’s oriental cuisine remains one of the classic choices when it comes to Chinese festivities and this year, Lai Po Heen is offering three exclusive set menus—Forture, Prosperity, and Wealth priced from RM288 nett to RM488 nett per person—featuring exquisite dishes such as double boiled abalone soup with sea treasures, fried jasmine rice with Chinese waxed meat and sun-dried tomatoes and Lai Po Heen’s Chinese New Year “Fatt Choy” and sun-dried seafood pot

Their yee sang—or rather, yee sang platterswill not disappoint either. Priced from RM88 nett to RM368 nett for half portion and full portion respectively, there are five choices: Australian lobster in kumquat dressing; octopus and assorted vegetables; soft shell crab and snow pear; salmon and assorted vegetables; and Assorted vegetables with shredded fruits in sesame dressing

If dim sum is a family affair favourite, Chef Ricky and his team have also crafted two special menus called The Longevity Dim Sum set and The Happiness Dim Sum set. Both are only available for lunch and priced at RM168 nett and RM228 nett per person, with a minimum of four diners.
