You can now sign up for a Master’s Degree program with Gucci

Hot off its SS18 show, the Italian fashion house has announced its partnership with one of Italy’s most coveted fashion schools, Polimoda, by launching a nine-month retail management master’s degree program starting in April 2018. Lectures will be conducted by Gucci’s top managers from different departments, including retail management, finance, merchandising and marketing. Aside from that, you can expect international guest lecturers, and field trips to the Gucci hub throughout your course.

The program aims to train and educate students who are interested in the retail business of international luxury brands, and a number of graduates will be offered internship (and even job) opportunities by Kering group, which owns Gucci and other luxury brands such as Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Bottega Veneta.

Speaking of its first time collaborating with an educational institution, President and CEO of Gucci, Marco Bizzarri says, Retail is the heart of this business. In the last two and a half years at Gucci we have clearly demonstrated that a new, contemporary and joyful retail environment, together with the enthusiasm, the passion and the charisma of talented people on the floor able to offer an unforgettable experience, really makes the difference. In such a turning point of the story of this brand, we have been concretely investing in training, both on our Italian craftsmanship, mainly through in-house programs, and on the retail side of the business, like this partnership. We are extremely happy to support this new programme in collaboration with Polimoda, with whom we share both Florentine origins and the fact that we too have an international leadership role in our field.”
