Earlier this month, the GPHG Academy announced the results of the 24th Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genéve. The awards ceremony, held at the Théâtre du Léman in Geneva and hosted by French actress Carole Bouquet, celebrated the creativity and innovation driving modern watchmaking with 21 prizes presented. 

This year, IWC Schaffhausen claimed the prestigious ‘Aiguille d’Or’ Grand Prix for its Portugieser Perpetual Calendar, the brand’s first secular perpetual calendar. Featuring a synchronised design, this timepiece enables all displays to be adjusted with a single crown—a remarkable feat of engineering. Other exceptional winners included Piaget Polo 79, honoured with the Iconic Watch Prize and Chopard’s L.U.C Qualité Fleurier, which earned the Eco-Innovation Prize. 

 

Berneron’s Mirage Sienna took the Audacity Prize, while Rémy Cool’s Tourbillon Atelier secured the Horological Revelation Prize. Finally, the Special Jury Prize went to Jean-Pierre Hagmann, a legendary casemaker renowned for crafting some of Haute Horlogerie’s most iconic designs.
