Piaget’s biggest flagship store lands in Paris

Created by architect Christine Querlioz of Atelier Sasha, Piaget’s new flagship store in Paris covers over 510 square metres, which encompasses the worlds of haute joaillerie and haute horlogerie the maison is known for. It is on this exact location at 7, Rue de la Paix, or 7 Paix for short, that the world of haute couture was born and where Charles-Frédéric Worth, founder of couture, used to host aristocracy in his luxurious salons.

Modelled after a stately home, the Piaget boutique continues to celebrate the art of craftsmanship — the store is kitted out in laminate oak parquet floors, plaited oak paneling and coffers gilded with gold leaf, topped off with a 3.5-metre chandelier — it took twenty skilled artisans more than 26,000 hours to achieve this perfection. The spectacular store redefines the Piaget motto of ‘Always do better than necessary’.

“To transform dreams into reality in order to offer creations that are perfectly in osmosis with their time is part of Piaget’s DNA. Today, that is the raison d’être for 7 Paix. This is not about having the umpteenth flagship store, but about an extraordinary place in tune with a passionate, exciting Maison,”
says Philippe Léopold-Metzger, CEO of Piaget.
