When Panerai released the first Bronzo back in 2011, it sent the watchmaking world and Panerai enthusiasts into a frenzy—and for good reason too. It was a timepiece that embodied the brand’s diving history, while sporting a beautiful bronze hue that will only gain more character in years to come as it acquires its own unique patina through the passage of time.
Today, a new Submersible Bronzo is unveiled; 161 grams of heavy metal shaped into Panerai’s signature cushion case in 47mm, and for the first time, it is paired with a ceramic bezel.

Another iconic feature in the Submersible Bronzo is the device that protects the winding crown, patented by Panerai in 1955. The formidable bronze case and micro-sandblasted brown ceramic bezel integrate seamlessly with the matching dial, and a natural leather strap completes the vintage flair.
The tight seal device was patented in Italy in 1955
At the heart of the timepiece is the P.9010 Manufacture calibre, a three-day automatic movement that is wound by a bidirectional oscillating weight. Being a professional diving watch, the Submersible Bronzo is water-resistant to 300 metres, with luminous markers to ensure excellent legibility even in complete darkness and a unidirectional bezel to prevent accidental manipulation underwater. Of course, a second strap in military green rubber is provided for your diving needs.

Unlike the Bronzo models that came before it, the new Submersible Bronzo is not a limited edition piece. So if you’ve always wanted a Bronzo but was never quite quick enough to snap one up, now you can. The Panerai Submersible Bronzo is available at the new Panerai boutique in Pavilion KL, Mr Porter, and the Panerai website.
