Nine months after the end of hit drama Crash Landing On You, Hyun Bin is back on our screens again, albeit for a different reason. The South Korean actor has been tapped as Omega’s newest global ambassador, and he’ll be joining the Swiss luxury watchmaker’s family of stars, which include George Clooney, Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig, and more.
Speaking of the appointment, President and CEO of OMEGA Raynald Aeschlimann says, “Hyun Bin shows a great skill for his character performances, always delivered with confidence and quality. We truly admire the excellence and attention-to-detail he brings to his work, which are values we also share at OMEGA. Furthermore, he is a man of impeccable style and we’re looking forward to bringing him together with our most illustrious timepieces.”
Having made his debut as an actor in 2002, aside from the record-breaking TV series mentioned earlier, some of Hyun Bin’s notable work include Secret Garden, Memories of the Alhambra, and box-office hits The Swindlers and The Negotation.
In a press statement released by the brand, Hyun Bin says, “OMEGA’s pioneering spirit and quest for innovation has endured throughout the times, and has created many “first steps” in history. Hopefully, as an ambassador, I can deliver OMEGA’s philosophy and message, and we can create some special new footprints together.”
