Go diving in style with the Chopard Happy Ocean

Diamonds and diving may not be the obvious, natural coupling but leave it to Chopard to turn this into a winning union. Following the Happy Sport line that was first launched in 1993, its latest iteration – the Happy Ocean adopts the nobility of diamonds with steel. The diver’s watch for ladies features its signature “floating diamonds”; it’s free of any setting so the diamonds appear to frolic between two sapphire crystals, illuminating the entire dial.

The Happy Ocean is housed in a 40mm steel case with unidirectional rotating bezel in two-tone blue-turquoise or blue-raspberry that is inspired by the azure blue sea and vibrant corals. It is water-resistant up to 300 metres and beats to the rhythm of a self-winding Chopard movement. A wave-shaped design and a white hour hand and hour markers filled with blue luminescence makes for easier handling under water. The turquoise-raspberry minutes hand also glows green in the dark, as with all other indications required for diving.

You can find the Happy Ocean in brightly coloured straps in turquoise or raspberry rubber, adorned with ripple motif that are designed to withstand the effects of sand and water. Also available with the watch is a navy blue Nato strap—a first in Chopard’s ladies’ collections.

The Happy Ocean also comes in precious jewellery version. It features 18-carat white case, a navy blue mother-of-pearl dial framed by a fixed bezel set with diamonds, sapphires and either rubies or topazes. With the new variations, you can change up the look with an alligator strap or a Nato strap in the same navy blue shade.

Chopard Happy Ocean collection is available from July 2017 onwards.
