It's a new year and that means new watches––here's a rolling guide of all the notable new drops of 2022:

What awaits the world of watches in 2022? While time can only tell what timepieces will land in our hands in the year ahead, the "anything goes" spirit of 2021 shows no sign of slowing down and that can only mean plenty of boundary-pushing ideas, both aesthetically and technically. With sustainability all the more present in our minds, green will continue dominate across horology with no surprise––it's the colour of nature, wealth and money––alongside the increase of bold colours across head-turning dials. Beyond that, expect more brands to be undertaking environmentally-conscious practices, whether that'd be in the use of recycled materials or more partnerships with conservationist organisations.

Elsewhere, sport luxe watches have really come into their own, with the time-honoured diving watch rising up in popularity for its retro styling and tool-watch functionality. And keep your eye out for unusual case shapes, as timepieces will be sporting designs that's anything but round to make a statement.

We've done the hard work for you, so all you need to do is to stay tuned––this page will be updated with the hottest watch releases, as they happen, in only the most timely manner:

In 2019, Omega's very first Ultra Deep watches made history when they reached the deepest place on Earth, the Mariana Trench. Fast-forward to 2022, the brand has introduced a game-changing 6,000m collection that takes the next step in state-of-the-art ocean design.

Seven brawny 45.5mm models encapsulate this new range of master diver, crafted in sand-blasted and forged grade 5 titanium. Taking cues from the trio of original concept pieces, the timepiece features a brushed ceramic bezel with a Liquidmetal diving scale, alongside robust "Manta Lugs" and a streamlined asymmetrical case.

The latest motorsport-watch collab by Breitling is a match made in motorcycle heaven. The new Top Time Triumph brings us back to '60s cafe racers subculture, oozing a modern-retro vibe with an eye-catching blue hue that recalls the history of Breitling and Triumph––the polychromatic blue from Marlon Brando's 1951 Thunderbird 6T in the film The Wild One, and a blue-dialed Breitling Top Time Ref 815 from the 1970s.

Limited to 270 pieces, the new 41mm houses the Breitling self-winding calibre 23, alongside a dial in its hallmark Zorro motif and a black tachymeter scale that matches the racing-themed leather strap.

Unveiled last year by Victoire de Castellane in tribute to precious stones and Monsieur Dior, the Gem Dior line is a striking collection of abstract-organic, 1970s-flavoured watches and jewellery featuring patches of various gemstones. Of the watches, eight asymmetrical facets mark Dior's Gem Dior collection, which draws influences from the shape of rough gemstones. This year's novelties launch include five new models in new materials and colours, including one with an aragonite hard stone dial outlined by a diamond bezel that features a single slice of carnelian.
