The Montblanc 1858 family welcomes new bronze and khaki green editions to the lineup

Introduced back in 2015, the Montblanc 1858 collection is a tribute to the heritage of Minerva, known for their professional watches that were conceived for military use and exploration. Honing in on that spirit of exploration, Montblanc unveils three new editions in the nature-inspired hues of green and bronze: the Montblanc 1858 Automatic, Montblanc 1858 Automatic Chronograph and Montblanc 1858 Geosphere.

A contemporary reinterpretation of the historic Minerva pocket watches and chronographs from the 1920s and 1930s, the latest Montblanc 1858 timepieces sport a vintage-style bronze case paired with a khaki green dial, where SuperLumiNova-coated Arabic numerals and luminescent hands provide legibility for explorers through their adventures. A nod to the spirit of mountain exploration can be found engraved to the case back, which is crafted in titanium with bronze coating to reduce the risk of skin allergies.

The watches are fittingly equipped with Nato straps, rendering them robust, durable and comfortable on the wrist. These features are not just for show on paper—Montblanc has put the new models through over 500 hours of simulated wear, with specific testing and controls under extreme conditions to ensure that they are truly ready for exploration.

All three bronze and green editions are available in a limited edition of 1858 pieces. Got your eyes on the Automatic? It also comes in a non-limited steel edition, paired with a black dial and leather strap for a more classic aesthetic.
