Glow hard or go home — the latest BR 03-92 takes nocturnal legibility very seriously

Bell & Ross pulls off one of the biggest glow-ups—literally—in the world of watches this year with the BR 03-92 Full Lum, complete with an entirely luminous dial and an equally luminous strap to boot. With this limited edition timepiece, Bell & Ross sought to play around with the traditional principles of day/night legibility by permuting the contrasts. During the day, it plays the role of an everyday time instrument, simple and understated; by night, it comes to life with extreme luminosity, where both the dial and rubber strap glow bright as light.

The ultra-phosphorescent dial is made possible by a coat of Super-Luminova C3 paint, the most resistant, intense and purest form of Super-Luminova, giving it a brighter glow and longer durability in the dark—even the date disc is coated with lume. To complete the light show, Bell & Ross pioneered a luminescent rubber bracelet by incorporating phosphorescent pigments into the material before it is hot-moulded and pressed. The other elements—the 42mm matte ceramic case, numerals, indexes and hands—are rendered black for optimum legibility in both day and night.

Understated companion by day, glowing warrior by night

As with its brethren from the BR 03-92 line, the Full Lum is powered by the rubust automatic movement BR-CAL.302 with a 42-hour power reserve. Limited to just 250 pieces, it is only available through balloting, which is now open for registration in Bell & Ross boutiques worldwide through till 21 November 2019. A random draw will be made in each boutique on 22 November to determine the successful allocations who’ve won themselves the chance to buy the limited-edition timepiece. Feeling lucky? Head on down to the Bell & Ross boutiques at Pavilion KL, The Gardens Mall or Gurney Plaza Penang now to register your ballot. May Lady Luck shine on you!
