Her shaggy lob is courtesy of celebrity hairstylist, Orlando Pita, and is the perfect way to shake up your look for the season. Better yet, it’s also ideal for those who want to rock a straight bang without the harshness. How? In contrast with the “Zooey Deschanel” bangs of the twee era of the early 2010s, Gomez’s fringe is wispier—a hybrid between the French girl fringe and K-beauty bang.

For the lengths:

Ask for a layered, shoulder-length lob with lots of texture and volume. To style your new cut, make sure to invest in a texturising spray (find our picks here) and a curling iron to create those voluminous waves.

For the bangs:

Ask for rounded bangs—this basically means that the shortest part of your bangs will be directly in the centre, getting gradually longer towards the edges. For this cut, it’s also important to keep the bangs soft and choppy for that wispy effect.
