For Bardot’s starring role in the 1956 movie Et Dieu… créa la femme (And God Created Woman), Rose Repetto used her unique ‘stitch and return’ method to create a ballerina as comfortable and flexible as a traditional ballet shoe but that could be worn out of the studio. A pair of carmin red Cendrillons were born, and Repetto dedicated the shoe to the French actress. Nearly 60 years on, Repetto has updated the iconic ballet flat and given it a sharper toe. The ‘Brigitte’ is the brand’s second love note to Bardot and is available in a range of colours for A/W’15. Prices start at RM1,190 and will be available at Repetto in Pavilion KL.
