Named the Montreux Jazz Festival’s Global Partner from 2015, Parmigiani Fleurier Manufacture’s new creation aptly pays tribute to jazz. Just as music transcends barriers of language, reigning in universal appeal that takes in the listener from the very first notes, the Tonda Tourbillon Solo de Jazz’s beautiful aesthetic emits a timeless appeal that is sure to sweep hearts far and wide. The watch dial wonderfully depicts a trumpet player in his groove against an urban background, with the watch’s Tourbillon taking the place of the trumpet bell.

The sophisticated and refined aesthetic is achieved through the art of marquetry, an intricate craft requiring utmost precision – sheets of wood are cut into the pattern defined by a tracing paper template, then assembled together with no glue, no joints and no clearance in between them. Encased in a 42mm polished rose gold case, the dial is decorated with matching indices, hands and tourbillon cage. The handsome Havana brown Hermès alligator strap with a rose gold ardillon buckle rounds up the warm, harmonious aesthetic perfectly. In line with Parmigiani Fleurier’s brilliant craftsmanship, the timepiece rightfully takes pride in its reliability and precision with a hand-wound PF510 movement.
