Think Resorts World Sentosa Singapore (RWS) and a plethora of attractions immediately come to mind. And what better way to experience it all than by staying at one of the swanky hotels at the premium lifestyle resort destination—where a wealth of experiences are just a walk away?

Enter Hotel Ora, RWS’ stylish new destination for those seeking the integration of work, play, and social activities. Rebranded and revamped from its former days as Festive Hotel, the hotel is named after the Italian word for “now”, symbolising its commitment to providing spaces that immerses guests “in the here and now”.

Officially launched in July 2023, Hotel Ora welcomes both local Singaporean residents and international travellers for a seamless workation (work-vacation). I, for one, fit into the latter category as a digital nomad who often writes and edits while travelling. On that note, here’s my experience checking into Hotel Ora recently.

Connect in social spaces

From the get-go, it’s clear that Hotel Ora is conceptualised with today’s business-leisure (bleisure) travellers in mind. Modern hybrid workspaces equipped with smart co-working amenities greet the eyes at the spacious lobby, setting the scene for business and social interactions.

These communal spaces are spruced up with greenery and stylish bookshelves filled with thoughtful decor, creating a contemporary yet conducive environment for jet-setting guests to stay inspired on-the-go. The place was buzzing with activity when I checked in on a Thursday  afternoon—a nod to its human-centric design. There’s also a classy lounge on Level Two for small-scale meetings or casual exchanges over evening cocktails, as well as private meeting rooms for further collaboration and creativity.

Rest in well-appointed rooms

After connecting, collaborating and creating, guests can retreat to one of the hotel’s 389 refurbished contemporary rooms for well-deserved rest. There are two room categories: Deluxe Room (32 sqm), which comes with or without a pool view; and Deluxe Suite (64 sqm), which affords more room for families. Larger groups may also request for connecting rooms to gain easier access to their loved ones, depending on availability.

Both accommodation options come with either a king-sized bed or twin single beds, alongside a 65-inch TV with a soundbar, a Nespresso coffee-maker, and tea-making amenities. If you prefer working in privacy, there’s complimentary Wi-Fi and a work-friendly desk with ample charging ports and power sockets for your devices too. I made full use of all these provisions during my two-night stay in the Deluxe Room—comfort and practicality, check!

Recharge at modern lifestyle facilities

In terms of facilities, the seven-storey hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool to relax in and a contemporary gym with state-of-the-art equipment (plus a dedicated yoga room!) to keep up with your fitness goals.

Adjacent to the pool and gym is Loma, serving a hearty buffet spread with local and international delicacies. There’s also the 24-hour Grab & Go cafe at the lobby for guests to fuel up on coffee, tea, bread, pastries and sandwiches any time of the day.

If that’s not enough, there’s an array of world-class themed attractions, luxury shopping, and award-winning gastronomic destinations just a stone’s throw away within Resorts World Sentosa!

Support green initiatives

In line with RWS’ journey towards carbon neutrality, Hotel Ora is committed to a number of sustainability principles. For one, the hotel features refillable glass carafes and communal water stations in lieu of plastic water bottles. On top of that, all rooms are equipped with motion sensors, electric-efficient fans that reduce energy consumption, and environmentally friendly carbon-neutral vinyl flooring. Even the in-room bathroom amenities are housed in sustainable packaging, while the reusable pens and paper come from sources certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).

True to its position as a bleisure destination, Hotel Ora is the place to connect, collaborate and create while having convenient access to the vibrant world of Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore. With its eco-conscious rooms and amenities complemented with a host of facilities that foster human connections, guests can effortlessly transition from work to play to rest all in one modern, uplifting place.
