Breaking into the fashion world: Apple collaborates with Burberry
A fashionable music channel
Burberry is currently the first global brand to launch its own channel on Apple Music. The channel is available in the “Curators” section on the streaming service. The channel will feature performances, songs, and films from iconic British artists along with regular playlists celebrating great British musical talent.
Burberry has experienced a long and rich history of championing British music, which have been featured prominently on the brand’s runway shows, events and campaign. A wide range of diverse artist such as Tom Odell, James Bay, George Ezra and Keane have all collaborated with the brand.
An example of the exclusive content found on the channel is a video of the recent performance by British singer-songwriter, Alison Moyet, for the Burberry’s Womenswear Spring/Summer 2016 show that was filmed during London Fashion Week. Other exclusive collaborations include Lilla Vargen, Georgie, and Rhodes.
Apple’s collaboration with Burberry is not their only partnership with a high-end fashion brand. They also collaborated with Hermès to create a range of stunning and chic luxury wristbands for the Apple watch. It is clear that Apple is starting to gain interest in tying its brand to high fashion and we are excited to see more fashionable collaborations by the tech giant in the near future.
