A quick breakdown of everything you can expect with the launch of Apple’s new AirPods Max 2, including its release date and price. 

Fresh out of its March event, Apple has yet again announced the arrival of another new device: AirPods Max 2, the latest version of its over-ear headphones that took the world by storm in 2020. This time, it comes with a host of new upgrades and features, some of which are seen for the first time on the AirPods Max. Most notably, users will be treated to even better Active Noise Cancellation and overall sound quality. “With the incredible performance of H2, AirPods Max are upgraded with up to 1.5x more effective ANC for the ultimate all-day listening experience,” said Eric Treski, Apple’s director of Audio Product Marketing. Below are the five things to know about the brand new Apple AirPods Max 2.

1. FIVE SLEEK COLOURS

The AirPods Max 2 will be available in five distinct shades, each with a character of its own: midnight, starlight, orange, purple, and blue. The design maintains its original, minimalist look that prioritises comfort and acoustic seal with knit mesh canopy and mesh memory foam cushions. 

2. UPGRADED ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLATION (ANC)

Consider all distractions, street noise, and crowds dealt with when using the AirPods Max 2. With ANC that is up to 1.5 times more effective than its predecessors, your listening experience will be isolated and immersive. Say bye bye to broken focus modes and interruptions during flow state! 

3. THE POWER OF H2

Driving the performance of the AirPods Max 2 is the H2 chip. Not only is it responsible for ANC, but also other intelligent features such as Adaptive Audio, which automatically balances the levels of ANC and Transparency to fit your environment. Other useful H2-powered features include Conversation Awareness, Live Translation, Loud Sound Reduction, and Voice Isolation. 

4. TOP-NOTCH AUDIO

Driving the audio performance in the AirPods Max 2 is a high dynamic range amplifier that ensures sounds are crisp and clean. With this, Spatial Audio also gets better and the overall listening experience is enhanced. The headphones also support lossless audio when connected with a USB-C cable, so musicians can rely on them when creating and mixing. Finally, reduced wireless audio latency improves gaming experiences with faster response times and reduced lag. 

5. PRICE & AVAILABILITY

The AirPods Max 2 are priced at RM2,299. Orders will open on 25 March with availability beginning in early April.
