Another week, another BURO Weekend Guide! We’re back with the inside scoop on the best events to check out this extra-long weekend (13 to 16 September 2025), including a non-stop cocktail challenge, a pet-friendly pickleball event and exhibitions galore.

In case you need it, here’s your friendly reminder that, in honour of Malaysia Day, we’ve got a full four-day weekend ahead of us! You could spend all four days resting up, but if you’re keen on celebrating our city and all it has to offer, we’ve got the guide to help you do just that. As always, find seven events around KL and PJ you won’t want to miss during this four-day weekend.

When: 13 September from 2pm to 6pm

Where: A+ Works of Art, Sentul

Price: Free

Round off your long weekend with a little cultural stop at the latest exhibition from A+ Works of Art. ‘An Aging Double’ is a group exhibition curated by Gary-Ross Pastrana, featuring works from Jan Balquin, Lesley-Anne Cao, Jed Gregorio, Lou Lim, Miguel Lorenzo Uy, and Issay Rodriguez. Inspired by Jean Baudrillard’s reflection that “an aging double ends up being confused with the real thing”, the show’s drawings, paintings, sound, video, and site-specific installations reflect our shared impulse to map, trace, copy, mirror and reenact. The exhibition’s Opening Reception is set for this Saturday, and you can catch a walkthrough of the show at 3pm.

The exhibition is open from 13 September to 4 October. Follow A+ Works of Art on Instagram for more information.
