Hello, Friday! The days we’ve all been counting down to are finally here and BURO has got your back to make sure you make the most of your weekend. There’s a lot to look forward to around the area and we aren’t letting you  miss out on any of the fun. In this edition of the BURO Weekend Guide, we tell you everything you need to know about Alta Pizza’s collaboration with Mason from Bali, a brand new reflective writing space, fun markets, and so much more. 1. HANG OUT WITH YOUR FAVOURITE PEOPLE AT ‘FRESH OFF THE PATIO’


When: 5 & 6 July 2025 | 12pm to 8pm 

Where: Lex’s Patio Pantry

Lex’s Patio Pantry’s annual “Fresh Off the Patio” is back and it’s got a whole new lineup of vendors for you to get to know! This year, you’ll be eating and drinking at the hands of MadPalate; Honey, I’m Home; Gutsuka; BrowniBoi; Popman; Homm Homm; and Ah Gan Kopitiam. The Animal Neighbours Project collective will also be on-site with an educational booth, where you can learn more about human-wildlife coexistence, take part in games, or buy merchandise. Plus, all profits from Lex’s homemade lemonade sales will be donated to the organisation, so get chugging!

2. EMBRACE COLOUR AND WHIMSY AT THE MESSY CLUB’S ‘SPRING GALORE’ MARKET


When: 4 to 6 July 2025 | 10am to 10pm

Where: The Campus Ampang

Price: Free entry

Summer may have arrived but spring is still in the air for The Messy Club. Enter ‘Spring Galore’. Ready to shine with all things colour, florals, and lace, the market will be blooming with energy this weekend at The Campus Ampang. Some vendors you might love include Velvet Vanity, The Petal Archive, Mighty Fafa, and Oh Dayang. There will also be a lineup of food and drinks partners, who will be on-site to keep you well-fed and hydrated.

3. TREAT YOUR TASTEBUDS TO ALTA PIZZA X MASON BALI’S COLLABORATION MENU


When: 6 July 2025 | From 3pm onward

Where: Alta Pizza

If you can’t say no to seriously good cooking with a side of high spirits and friendship, then you should pay attention to this. Benji Cross is coming to town all the way from Bali, bringing the best of his restaurant Mason to Alta Pizza’s kitchen. Expect nothing but fresh, fun food, made with tonnes of care and playfulness. Menu highlights include Irish oysters with preserved lemon nam jim, tiger prawn croquettes, mud crab linguine with fish sauce butter, plus grain-fed ribeye with sour onions and palm sugar béarnaise. For drinks, renowned bartender and friend of Alta Jordan Lim will be shaking up some refreshing tipples to pair with your bites.

4. SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR MY PETS HAVEN AND THE ARTS AT THE IMPAWSSIBLE 


When: 5 July 2025 

Where: Stage 1, PJPAC

Flow Academy is bringing its original dance musical titled The Impawssible to the big stage! To make things even better, the performance is organised in support of My Pets Haven, the animal shelter run by BURO’s Voice of the Year 2024, Aunty Aileen. The musical features over 100 dancers and follows the story of Lyla, who is abandoned, re-homed, celebrated, then cast aside. Organisers are aiming to raise RM20,000 through ticket sales for My Pets Haven, in support of Aunty Aileen’s efforts in giving stray animals a second chance at life.

5. SPEND A SUN-SOAKED DAY OUT WITH YOUNI MARKET AT GAMUDA GARDENS

When: 5 & 6 July 2025 | 11am to 10pm

Where: Gamuda Gardens Experience Gallery

Looking for plans that the whole family can join in on? This one’s for you. You Ni Market is popping up at the Gamuda Gardens Experience Gallery with over 130 stores in tow. Complete with crafts, accessories, and more, its lineup will cater to all. Plus, there will be tons of bites, live performances, and workshops to keep you fuelled and entertained.

6. REFRESH YOURSELF AT SOMERSBY’S ‘NO NONSENSE, JUST GREAT TASTE’ POP-UP 


When: From now until 6 July 2025 

Where: Pavilion KL

Pop over to Pavilion KL this weekend for a Somersby-filled time at its ‘No Nonsense, Just Great Taste’ pop-up. Fans of the brand will be able to grab their own complimentary can of Somersby 0.0 and get their hands on exclusive postcards of Tomorrow X Together’s Yeonjun AKA the latest face of the brand. Not to mention, MOAs will also get to snap some pictures with a life-sized Yeonjun standee at the event itself too.

7. SOAK UP SOME SEROTONIN AT PASAR SELOKA’S ‘WEEKEND PICNIC’

Pasar Seloka’s beloved Weekend Picnic is back and it’s bringing you over 60 amazing vendors plus activities to enjoy all weekend long. It’s the perfect excuse to bring the entire family together. Plus, its vendor lineup will be there to support your retail therapy needs from vintage finds to handmade accessories. The kids will also be kept occupied with fun workshops, face painting, bubble games, and a circus show on the schedule.

BONUS: PEN YOUR INNER WORLD’S THOUGHTS ON PAPER WITH PAUSE’S WRITING CIRCLE

For those who struggle with organising their thoughts and expressing their inner narratives, Pause has arrived as the clarity to their mind fog. Positioned as a reflective writing space that goes beyond journaling, Pause offers women a space to practice mindful writing with the hopes of providing a sincere and intentional space for emotions to flow. Every first Saturday of the month, Pause holds Taster Circle sessions, for those interested to try their hand at mindful writing, complete with a couple of prompts. All you have to do is bring yourself, your thoughts, a pen, and a journal you love.
