The two-day event transforms the cinema into an immersive space, where designer gowns by Gelly Wee Wedding Gown—featuring names like Elie Saab and Vivienne Westwood—sit alongside atmospheric installations and live storytelling that bring modern wedding visions to life. With a collective of creatives across planning, photography, and décor coming together, the showcase centres on crafting celebrations tailored to your preferences. 2. TAKE A BREATHER AT DAVID REID’S ‘GARDEN LIFE’ EXHIBITION

For a slower, more introspective outing, pay a visit to David Reid’s ‘Garden Life’ exhibition at The Objects Store. Drawing from cultivated landscapes as a way of thinking, the works are shaped by the artist’s time across Shanghai, Taipei, and Kuala Lumpur, expressed through layered compositions in Chinese ink and acrylic on silk and Xuan paper. At its core, the series explores the idea of the “Chinese window”, where framing becomes a quiet dialogue between Eastern and Western perspectives.

3. SATISFY YOUR PASTRY CRAVINGS AT BAKE GALA 3.0

You can never have too many pastries, and Bake Gala 3.0 is here to prove exactly that. The ever-popular pastry takeover returns for its third edition, featuring buttery creations across 10 days. Think croissants, salt bread (shiopan), cakes, and more, lined up one after another until you inevitably find yourself in a well-earned food coma. This year’s lineup also brings together renowned bakeries and cafés including Contour, Kooky Cream, Pohutukawa Coffee, and The Bread Bar. 4. JOURNEY INTO ABSTRACT LANDSCAPES AT THE ‘UNBOUNDED’ EXHIBITION

Long known for his structured, atmospheric depictions of agrarian fields and distant horizons, local artist Chen Wei Meng is opening a new chapter in Malaysian landscape painting with his eighth solo exhibition, ‘Unbounded’. This time, he leans further into abstraction, with works built through sustained mark-making and continual reworking in the studio. The series also draws from his long-standing study of Song dynasty ink traditions, echoing decades of disciplined exploration and reinvention.
