Say hello to August! It looks like we’re starting the new month strong as the calendar is absolutely packed for the weekend. While some of you may be channelling homebody energy this weekend (fair enough), we know others will be on the hunt for some markets and pop-ups to check out. If you happen to be one of those adventurers, the BURO Weekend Guide was made for you. From Lilin + Co’s annual warehouse sale to Triple Decker’s kitchen takeover at Pucks Coffee, these are all the events that you need to have on your radar for 2 and 3 August 2025!

Geared towards those who can’t resist a good find with a side of music and creativity, the event will feature over 20 vendors, live DJ sets, and workshops for you to enjoy. As usual, don your best whimsical ‘fits and bring your reusable bags because we know you’ll be leaving with some new pieces to add to your closet!

Start your day early with a run and reward yourself with some shopping at ‘The Looop Movement’, happening this Sunday! The agenda kicks off with a 5-kilometre community run that starts and ends at Looop. Those participating will then get first dibs on a selection of secondhand activewear from Looop’s partner studios: Club Aloha, Journey, and Karma Yoga. A portion of the sales from this weekend will go towards each studio’s selected charity.

Where: Pucks Coffee

The folks from Triple Decker are making themselves at home in Pucks Coffee’s kitchen and you burger fiends should not miss out. They will be flipping and stacking their burgers for a whole week, so you can get your fill of their menu. Those who live a meat-free life will also have an option with its vegetarian burger. And of course, you can make it a meal, complete with a side of fries and a drink from Pucks’ menu.

7. ROCK UP TO 2ND BREAKFAST’S LAUNCH PARTY FOR SOME EATS AND BEATS

2nd Breakfast is officially celebrating its opening at Triptyk and you’re invited! The breakfast sandwich experts have finally found a home within Kampung Attap, so you can get your hands (and appetites) on their goods without having to wait for a pop-up anymore. Show up for good music, great company, and even better food! Plus, there will be a 3D printing booth and a hennas/tattoos setup to make things even more interesting.

In celebration of its 37th anniversary this August, Penang Bird Park is inviting Malaysians to contribute name ideas for eight of their animal residents, including a sulphur-crested cockatoo and a crocodile! This fun, light-hearted initiative is their way of connecting with the public and putting their animals in the spotlight. Winners will win two admission tickets and will also be credited on the enclosure signage!
