Happening at APW Bangsar this weekend, ‘In the Mood for Preloved’ will give you first-hand access to the wardrobes and beauty cabinets of the likes of Jane Chuck, Juwei Teoh, and Mandy Gioh. You’ll find brands like Hermés, Dior, and more in the stashes, so bring your shopping A-game!

2. CATCH CIGARETTES AFTER SEX LIVE AT THE LANDING, KL BASE

American indie-pop band Cigarettes After Sex is returning to KL this weekend with their concert at The Landing, KL Base as part of their X’s World Tour. Prepare to sing along to their most popular songs, including Apocalypse, Cry, and Affection, alongside thousands of other CAS fans. Hurry, only general admission tickets are left!

3. CHEERS TO CHINESE NEW YEAR WITH CARLSBERG AT ‘CARLSBAZAAR’

When: From now until 12 January 2025 | 4pm onwards

Where: Outdoor carpark, 1 Utama Shopping Centre

Price: Registration required 

Carlsberg is throwing the ultimate Chinese New Year party with its ‘CarlsBazaar’ happening this weekend at 1 Utama Shopping Centre’s Outdoor Carpark. The programme is jam packed with things for you to see, do, eat, and drink, so gather your favourite people and get ready for an evening of adventure. Get in a game of giant snakes and ladders, take some Insta-worthy shots at the various photo corners, enjoy live music performances, meet the cast of Close Ur Kopitiam, and more—the agenda is yours to make the most of! If you’re heading up north soon, you can also catch the ‘CarlsBazaar’ at Gurney Plaza on 16 to 19 January.

4. DELVE INTO THE WORKS OF FAMED LOCAL ARTISTS AT THE ‘CULTURE SHOCK’ GROUP EXHIBITION

Where: 3, Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar (formerly Czip+ bookstore)

Penang’s Cultprint art space has landed in Kuala Lumpur with its ‘Culture Shock’ exhibition, putting the spotlight on local artists. Lithuanian artist Ernest Zacharevic, who is responsible for the iconic public street art around George Town, co-founded Cultprint with Sheena Liam. The ‘Culture Shock’ exhibition features works from Cloakwork, Kenji Chai, Azmi Hussin, Bono Stellar, and more that also touch on important themes such as corruption and the environment.. Spanning two floors, the exhibitions gives you a first-hand look at the different art styles and mediums of these local talents.

5. MAKE A FESTIVE TOAST TO THE YEAR OF THE SNAKE AT ‘TIGER TOWN’

When: From now until 12 January 2025

Where: Piazza, Pavilion Bukit Jalil

Welcome the Year of the Snake with Tiger Beer’s ‘Tiger Town’ pop-up at Pavilion Bukit Jalil. On the agenda are live performances, games, local bites, crafts, and—of course—Tiger beer! The stage lineup includes Jeryl Lee and 3P, who are ready to bring the energy to usher in the new year with. The first 5,000 signups will also be entitled to a free bottle of Tiger Crystal at the event.
