Selena Gomez proudly shows off her kidney transplant scar

Selena Gomez posted a powerful picture of her posing in a light blue swimsuit with a heartfelt caption, opening up about her kidney transplant scar. Back in 2017, the singer received a transplant from friend and Grown-ish actress Francia Raisa following complications from lupus.

In the Instagram post, Gomez wrote: “When I got my kidney transplant, I remember it being very difficult at first showing my scar. I didn’t want it to be in photos, so I wore things that would cover it up. Now, more than ever, I feel confident in who I am and what I went through…and I’m proud of that.”

This is the first time the 13 Reasons Why producer has shared her scar on social media and we are loving the energy and power she is exuding.

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik welcome their new bundle of joy

Over the weekend, 25-year-old supermodel Gigi Hadid and 27-year-old singer Zayn Malik became first-time parents to a precious baby girl. They both shared the exciting news on their social media accounts on 23 September.

Accompanying the photo of Malik holding their baby’s tiny hands, Hadid wrote: “Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world” and “So in love.”

While they have yet to announced the name of their daughter, Malik expressed, “Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful, to try put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding.” He goes on to say, “Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and thankful for the life we will have together x.”
