After two folk rock, country influences-tinged albums (Born and Raised and Paradise Valley), John Mayer’s first original song in three years sees him return to his pop-rock roots. With ‘Love on the Weekend’, the singer-songwriter’s soft-rock sensibilities shine alongside the bluesy flair we have come to know him for.
