From 12 April to 20 May 2018, Le French Festival will be travelling nationwide across four cities—Kuala Lumpur, Georgetown, Johor Bahru and Kota Kinabalu—with an exciting lineup of events that includes film screenings, gigs, exhibitions, foodie gatherings, theatre shows and more.

French Film Festival: As per tradition, Le French Festival partners with Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) to present the French Film Festival. From satirical comedies to heartwarming dramas, give your usual Hollywood blockbusters a break and pick from one of the 16 recent French cinema releases for movie night instead.

Amok: Catch the exclusive French theatre adaptation of Stefan Zweig’s novel set in Malaysia about a feverish tale of a race against death where passion mingles with madness.

Once Upon a Time Tomorrow: Artist Chris Morin-Eitner is known for his unique “photo-paintings” that feature eye-catching superimpositions of renown city landmarks. Next up for him, Kuala Lumpur. Perhaps we’ll see the twin towers in his whimsical world?

WHAT TO DO
Learn to cook: Impressed by Nathalie’s impeccable French cuisine? Learn from the chef herself. There will be three different sessions for you to choose from: all you need to know about macaroons, how to make baguette bread and Parisian brioche, as well as a lesson on fresh pastas.

Let music heal your soul: There will also be a series of gigs and concerts in conjunction with the festival. Must-see acts include classical and jazz piano wonder duo Duo Jatekok at No Black Tie on 26 and 27 April, followed by rock trio Lysistrata at The Bee, Publika on 28 April.
