From the debut of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play to the Fantastic Beasts movie blockbuster, it would seem like J.K. Rowling has had her hands full this year. But busy as she is, there’s simply no rest for the novelist. J.K Rowling has revealed that she’s working on a new novel following a question posed by an anxious fan on Twitter.
I’m working on it (literally). And thank you! https://t.co/vA6CZcVhRW

Further to the impromptu Q&A on Twitter, another fan asked if the work would be another Robert Galbraith (her pen name for the Cormoran Strike detective novel series) or a J.K Rowling title. The author responded that she is writing “one of each” but wasn’t sure which would come out first.
While she has not revealed any more plot details for the books, she has shot down any theory that the novels will feature Newt Scamander, the protagonist in the Fantastic Beasts.
No, no, no. There won’t be Newt Scamander novels. Only movies. Calm down, there! https://t.co/Zyhim6Wscd
