The world lost a great entertainer when David Bowie bowed out for the last time ever in January 2016. The late singer-songwriter, who gave us many memorable hits including Space Oddity, The Man Who Sold The World, Let’s Dance and Heroes, would have been 70 years old this year.
Now in remembrance of his musical masterpiece, David Bowie’s classic albums and performances will be immortalised in a set of Royal Mail stamps. While the Beatles and Pink Floyd have previously been featured on postage, this will be the first set of stamps to honour an individual artist.
Among the album covers that will be displayed include Hunky Dory and Aladdin Sane, while some of David’s iconic performance like on the 1972 Ziggy Stardust tour and 1983 Serious Moonlight tour will be captured as well.
David Bowie is best known as a creative genius not only in music but also fashion and album designs. The special set of stamps will be available from 14 March onwards, but pre-orders are open now.
