From the Nihon Matsuri 2022 festival to The Godown Artists Market, here are even exciting events to add to your to-do list

1. Experience the vibrant culture of Japan at the Nihon Matsuri 2022 festival

When: 27 to 31 July 2022 | 3pm to 10pm

Where: Carpark B, Stadium Bukit Jalil

Price: RM10 per adult

If you’re a fan of Japanese culture, you’ve probably been yearning to (re)visit the country to experience its wonders in person. Well, good news—all the wonderful sensations of Japan are only a drive away at the Nihon Matsuri 2022 festival happening at Stadium Bukit Jalil! As the largest Japanese festival in Malaysia this year, the five-day long fiesta aims to bring the very best Japanese delights to our shores with a wide variety of fun-filled games, cultural activities and performances, and of course, delicious food! To immerse in the full experience, yukatas will be available for rent for the perfect photo op with friends and family by the sakura trees or the Shinto gate.

2. Bring Your Own Dog for a date at Cheong Somm

When: 31 July 2022 | 3pm to 6pm

Where: RexKL

While weekly outings with our furry kids at the park are fun, why not switch it up and have a date with some wine (for the parents, of course)? This Sunday, Cheong Somm is hosting the third edition of Bring Your Own Dog at the cultural hub of RexKL with organic dog treats, dog accessories, and wine specials to spoil yourself and your furry companion.

4. Express your creativity at Eco Mosaic

The crafty kids in school who loved making collages can now upgrade their childhood talents into mosaic art! This Saturday, Projek Ubak is hosting Eco Mosaic at GMBB with a series of workshops to share the endless possibilities of mosaic art using eco-friendly materials. In support of Metonia Nu.Kita and Fakulti Seni Halus Aswara, the workshops will be focusing on sustainability, upcycling waste, and natural pigmentation to show that works of art can be created without harming the environment.

5. Get groovy at The Messy Club’s Flower Power Pop-up

Where: Brick Studio by Metal Bees

This weekend, The Messy Club is back again with another exciting event—the Flower Power Pop-up! Visitors can groove to live music while they browse through a plethora of vendors such as Extra Sugar Please, Crystal Nation, Sub18 Gelato, and more. The Messy Crews will also be in attendance for a special performance on the dance floor! 6. Shop all things dreamy and vintage at Magical Market

Happening this weekend at The Godown KL, The Godown Artists Market will feature arts, crafts, plants, fashion, gifts, and all things creative presented by a variety of local artists. The market will also exhibit the talents of up-and-coming artists such as Gene Eu, Nadhir Nor, WC Sin, and more.
