1. Indulge in The Decanter Dinner Series at Astor Bar

The St Regis Kuala Lumpur’s Astor Bar has launched The Decanter Dinner Series—a brand new offering of a by-reservation-only culinary experience for guests to dine in Decanter, its private wine cellar. This exclusive dining space boasts an uneven gold leaf-domed ceiling that’s handmade from imported Italian gold tiles, with custom-made gold wine cellar fridges—where some of the world’s best wines is stored under temperature-controlled technology and security—encircling the room.

As part of its glamorous appeal, you may recognise Decanter from its Hollywood debut in the box office hit, Crazy Rich Asians. Hint: It’s the private viewing gallery of the jewellery store where Astrid (Gemma Chan) purchased her US$1.2 million Burmese pearl drop earrings.

The first iteration of the Dinner Series kicks off this week, presenting a specially curated Black Truffle 6-course menu. Among the dishes to expect include Boston Lobster and Black Truffle with Braised Leeks and Truffle Bearnaise, 63°C Egg and Black Truffle with Celeriac Purée and seasonal Mushrooms, and Charcoal Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Black Truffle.

2. Shop epicurean goods from Gourmet South Australia food fair

When: From 23 September to 6 October

Where: Isetan KLCC, Isetan Lot 10, AEON One Utama, AEON Bukit Tinggi and AEON Queensbay Mall

Since international travel restrictions are still in effect, Gourmet South Australia is bringing a taste of the South Australia region to Malaysia through a gourmet food fair. It is set to be the first food fair of its kind in Malaysia, organised by the South Australian Government and supported by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission and the Australian High Commission in Malaysia.

Visitors can expect a range of premium quality and gourmet products at the food fair, spanning raw honey and organic vegetables to sustainably caught tuna and non-dairy ice cream. There will be 14 participating brands that will showcase their fare in local supermarkets in Malaysia for the very first time, many of which are family-founded businesses with productions in a clean, green and sustainable environment. Discerning foodies and home cooks alike won’t want to miss this fair to try some of the best culinary produce South Australia has to offer.

Here’s another *virtual feast* for the eyes brought to you by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and the Michelin Guide—Hong Kong Chef’s Playbook, a four-series video featuring Hong Kong’s most celebrated chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants across the city. Discover some of the best kept playbook secrets of Chef Vicky Lau, Shane Osborn, Vicky Cheng, and restaurateur Danny Yip as they bring viewers on a journey through the neighbourhoods of Yau Ma Tei, Wong Tai Sin, Tai O, and Aberdeen.

Each chef will release their individual playbooks based on their respective culinary background and expertise to highlight the vibrancy and diversity of Hong Kong’s culinary scene, while sharing their inspirations and tips to uncover hidden gems in these local neighbourhoods. The episodes will be released weekly on the social media channels of Hong Kong Tourism Board and the Michelin Guide, starting from 21 September 2021.

4. Cheers to the weekend with a Chivas HiBall gift pack

Chivas Malaysia has introduced a new campaign that celebrates a classic serve that is synonymous with Japanese culture—the Highball. 5. Tune into the new Marvel channel on Apple Podcasts

For an activity that’s not food-related, Marvel fans will be keen to know that Apple Podcasts is debuting a complimentary new Marvel channel in partnership with Marvel Entertainment. The channel will feature an array of content including both scripted and unscripted series including Marvel’s Wolverine: The Long Night and Marvel/Method. The latter comprises actor and rapper Method Man’s interviews with celebrity guests like Killer Mike, Jemele Hill, and Kevin Smith about all things Marvel.
