1. Discover the first Louis XIII room in Southeast Asia at DC Restaurant

Louis XIII has unveiled a first-of-its-kind Louis XIII Room in Southeast Asia, occupying the second floor of DC Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Designed to embody time and the French art of living, the characteristically red room is home to The Private Dining Room, The Library, and The Locker—serving those with a taste for excellence and fine craftsmanship.

Every corner of the room is painstakingly considered to ensure a journey of sensations and emotions through a gastronomical experience hosted by the acclaimed restaurant. There are 15 private lockers available for purchase, where lucky owners will receive an engraved nameplate on their locker which can be used to store and access their Louis XIII cognac and decanters at any time while dining in.

To complete the experience, Chef Darren Chin has curated a menu to reveal the layered facets and dimensions of the Louis XIII cognac with the pinnacle of fine dining in mind. The Louis XIII Room is available for bookings for groups of six to 20 by reservation only.

Foodies, don’t miss the Weekend F&B Pop-Up at MoMo’s KL this weekend! The three days only pop-up will see The Bao Guys, Licky Chan, and Orale coming together to offer a special menu of mains, sides and desserts available exclusively during the event. 4. Explore Kok Yew Puah’s art exhibition at Ilham Gallery

When: From 12 October 2021 to 3 April 2022

Show your support for the local art scene at Ilham Gallery, currently showcasing an exhibition titled Kok Yew Puah: Portrait of a Malaysian Artist. The exhibition will explore the works of the late Malaysian artist Kok Yew Puah (1947-1999), who made his debut when he returned from his studies in Melbourne as a bold hard-edge abstract printmaker in the early 1970s. After leaving the art world for several years to run a family business, he forged a name for himself as a figurative painter, producing some of the most honest, human and subjective representations of the country’s visual landscape in the late 1980s and 90s.

5. Join the Mental Health Hunt 2021 at Da Men Mall

When: From 22 to 29 October 2021, 10am to 6pm

Where: Ground Floor, Da Men USJ

Price: RM25 per person

In conjunction with World Mental Health Day in October, Da Men Mall has teamed up with Care Warriors Association for a virtual/hybrid treasure hunt to raise awareness on mental health and advocate against social stigma. The hour-long hunt will begin at Da Men’s reception desk, where participants will scan a QR code and answer 20 questions focused on the topic of mental health and general knowledge. They will also be required to snap selfies at every stop and search for two ‘treasure items’.

Participants are to take part in teams of two between the ages of 18 to 60, with each person paying a registration fee of RM25, which includes an event t-shirt and souvenir. The ten fastest teams to complete the Mental Health Hunt will win cash vouchers amounting to RM950.
