2) View the ‘Garden of the Mind’ exhibition at The Back Room KL

When: 11 February till 6 March 2022 | Wednesday to Sunday, 12pm – 6pm

Where: The Back Room, The Zhongshan Building, Kampung Attap

The Back Room’s first new exhibition of the year, ‘Garden of the Mind’ is artist Chong Yi Lin’s second solo exhibition consisting of paintings, textile art, and drawings made during the artist’s residency at Rimbun-Dahan in 2021. Chong has combined forms from nature and her own sentiments to produce an experience that is nostalgic and thought-provoking, albeit serene.

The Messy Club and Kedai KL are collaborating once again to bring you another mega bazaar filled with all your favourite local small businesses. In celebration of the month of love, this weekend's Valentine's themed ‘Love Potion Bazaar’ will feature multiple vendors curating a wide selection of purchasable items, from vintage and preloved clothing to handmade accessories, food and beverages, and adorable homeware. There will also be workshops and art exhibitions held in some of Kedai’s stores, so you can spend the day in the company of friendly local creatives.

6) Browse through the ‘Growth’ exhibition at KL City Art Gallery

When: 15 till 28 February 2022 | 11am – 6pm

Where: KL City Art Gallery, Wisma YPR

Looking to low-key relax this weekend? Visit KL City Art Gallery's ongoing art exhibition, where the spotlight is on artist Meriam Omar’s artwork. Primarily depicting the Jelapang rice fields in Kedah, Omar’s solo debut exhibition offers visitors a tranquil escape from the city, within the city. Created through years of hard work, Omar successfully reproduces the organic spirit of padi (rice) and its symbolism to Kedah in her art—perfect for a quick escape.
