Spooky season may be upon us, but if you’re still not ready for it, here are seven activities you can do this weekend. 

 

1. DELVE INTO THE WORLD OF DESIGN AT KUALA LUMPUR DESIGN FESTIVAL

Where: The Godown Arts Centre

When: 13 – 15 October 2023

While the Kuala Lumpur Design Festival (KLDF) 2023 continues to inspire individuals with ‘Sustainable—Intelligence’, the second half of the festival will revolve around the theme, the Micro Trade Fair—with activities that will showcase creativity, innovation, and design excellence at a whole new level. 

Join the urban farming workshop by Bnih that will introduce you to vertical farming for microgreens, explore projection mapping by Filamen Collective, or go on a unique culinary journey to explore fermentation and sustainability through Kuala Lumpur’s cultural destinations.

If you’re a fan of K-culture, here’s a sign to immerse yourself in it even more! The K-Food Fair is back for its sixth edition and is packed with a variety of activities that you can enjoy. The festival isn’t just limited to food, but will include various K-experiences like dance competitions, K-Food quiz shows, taekwondo performances, and more! That’s not all, visitors can stand a chance to win various gift vouchers and K-Food Fair strawberry bags throughout the three-day festival.

The weekend market will have a variety of workshops like Stone Painting, DIY Butterfly Wings, and Wax Seal Stamping. 6. LEARN THE WAYS OF SILK SCREEN PRINTING

7. GET A FREE SCREENING AT ESLITE SPECTRUM KUALA LUMPUR

Where: Eslite Spectrum, The Starhill

When: 15 October 2023

To support the National Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day, Eslite Spectrum Kuala Lumpur has collaborated with the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA) to host a free clinical breast examination. In line with their efforts to raise awareness and help the public detect the disease early, you can head to the store on 15 October 2023 to get tested.
