1. The Sweatbox featuring Alex Arnout at Le Noir KL, 10pm – late, 15 June 2019

The Sweatbox party is back after a short hiatus. Brought to you by Art Xtreme Media, expect great music with wonky house and techno vibes. Apart from The Sweatbox’s residents, such as Meliha and Otherkind, this Saturday will feature a guest all the way from Spain—Alex Arnout. This will be his first time in Malaysia. Arnout has DJ-ed at familiar outposts like DC: 10 and Pin Up in Ibiza, Dance Valley in Amsterdam and Circo Loco in London. Why not get sweaty, be happy, and keep the dance floor on fire all night long?

2. Run For The Oceans with adidas at Putrajaya Challenge Park, 5pm – 9pm, 15 June 2019

Run for the Oceans is a global movement created by adidas to raise the awareness on the issue of marine plastic pollution. This year, you can join the cause simply by going for a run. adidas will donate US$1 for every kilometre completed, to be invested in the Parley Ocean School Program. You can sign up and track your run by joining the Run For The Oceans challenge via the Runtastic app, either on your own or with a group at Putrajaya Challenge Park. Run for charity this Saturday, why don’t you?

3. Built Environment: An Alternative Guide to Japan at The Japan Foundation KL, 10am – 10pm, 15 & 16 June 2019

This exhibition focuses on 80 examples of buildings, civil engineering works and landscapes from all prefectures in Japan. They are introduced through photographs, text and video images. The aim of this exhibition: to examine how Japanese people have engaged and struggled with the natural environment and how they have carried on and created locality. Why not head over and get a glimpse of the rarely considered aspects of Japan?

4. Tiger Roar at The Beer Factory Hartamas, 4pm onwards, 15 June 2019

This Saturday, join Tiger Beer for a night of food, fashion, art, and music at The Beer Factory Hartamas. Come and witness four of Malaysia’s best raw talents harness the courage to pursue their passions. They are Sonia Luhong (art), Yong Sheng (fashion), Kent Lee (food), and Dato’ Maw (music). 5. Watch Murder Mystery on Netflix, any time, 15 June 2019

 

If you don’t feel like going out this weekend, here’s something you can do: Netflix. Murder Mystery, starring Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler will be premiering on the popular streaming platform! You know hilarity is bound to ensue when this duo’s on screen. The premise of the film centres around a couple who is suspected of murder during their trip to Europe. Whether you’re alone this weekend, or have company, it’s definitely time to #NetflixAndChill.
