With Deepavali around the corner, here are five ways to celebrate love and light with your loved ones this year

After the toned down festivities last year, this Deepavali (also known as Diwali) calls for a grander celebration to usher in new beginnings ahead. From dining with your loved ones to shopping and gifting ideas, here’s a list of special events and activities to light up the town for the occasion.

Head over to Pavilion KL to discover its Journey of Colours, featuring the mall’s first-ever 500-metre long Kolam Runway connecting the Couture Pavilion and Connection via the iconic Pavilion Crystal Fountain. There are over 100 different kolam designs created by the students of Raffles College, INTI International College Subang, and INTI Centre of Art and Design—each representing Malaysia’s diversity, sacred symbols of the festival, and the triumph of light over darkness. Da Men USJ's Light of Happiness showcase

Meanwhile, Da Men USJ has prepared a Light of Happiness showcase featuring a 15ft by 15ft kolam design featuring a peacock—a symbol of beauty and elegance. Shoppers can also purchase festive treats and clothes, as well as get decked out in henna designs at Da Men’s Deepavali bazaar on the Lower Ground and Ground Floor. Intermark Mall's Glorious Deepavali

Over at Intermark Mall, a Glorious Deepavali celebration awaits—highlighted by a kolam centrepiece made out of precious gems and jewels. The bejewelled decorations are accompanied by Deepavali pop-ups around the mall, including Carven Ong Couture’s fashion pop-up that offers ready-to-wear pieces from the designer’s couture collection.
