Chanel goes on show at Saatchi Gallery in London

The House of Chanel has long been famous for its essential qualities of audacity, freedom and innovation – channeled first through Mademoiselle Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel’s extraordinary spirit and charisma, and today, Karl Lagerfeld’s wry wit and irreverence.

The Saatchi Gallery in London will offer up an intimate look at some of Chanel’s most creative and inventive moments, spanning its tradition of Haute Couture, the recently reissued High Jewellery ‘Bijoux de Diamants’ collection (originally created in 1932), and Chanel No. 5. The Mademoiselle Privé exhibition, which runs through this autumn, stretches across three floors of the gallery, revealing a dazzling glimpse of the origins of Chanel’s creations.

It’s an enchanting journey that will no doubt delight fashion lovers with Mademoiselle Chanel’s past inspirations, as well as Karl Lagerfeld’s interpretation of the iconography, symbols and coded aesthetics that are all unmistakably imbued with the boldness and grace of Chanel.

Mademoiselle Privé runs from October 13th to November 1st, 2015, at Saatchi Gallery, London. Admission is free.
