On Saturday, GuavaPass marked one whole year since its inception in KL with a fitness birthday bash at Sentul Depot — and as the location suggests, it was massive. The event was essentially a 12-hour festival for fitness enthusiasts, featuring a string of workout sessions, food and drinks, as well as immersive booths and set-ups, including a makeshift lounge by Dojo KL and a chill zone put up by lululemon for a spot of calm in the midst of the festivities.
And what’s a party without a fun photo to show for it? At the Buro booth, one will find an Insta-worthy ball pit — a play on our new dot symbol — that is perfect for Boomerangs.
At the front section of the venue, workout after workout was in session, hosted by selected studios from GuavaPass’ extensive list of fitness partners. This ranged from piloxing and moon salutations, to crossfit challenges and HIIT classes, including a Meltdown session by Reagan Kang, co-founder of Singapore’s Haus Athletics and Master Trainer at Les Mills Asia Pacific.
We were also there to host an exclusive workout session for our readers and invited guests — an Electro House Yoga led by Kylie Denis of Omology Yoga Studio. A dynamic, flowing sequence set to chill electro-house beats, it was the ideal class to awaken our senses and muscles on a Saturday morning, and the 50-strong crowd of participants powered through the session with positives vibes and upbeat energy. Refreshing juices by La Juiceria await the yoga warriors at the end of the workout, a well-deserved little treat after the sweat sesh.
