Little was known about Donald Glover’s secret project, save for the facts that it was his first feature-length film, and Rihanna was in it—she first teased the project back in August with a video of herself dancing to Childish Gambino’s ‘Summertime Magic’ in Havana, where the film was shot. But Coachella attendees had first look of the music film on Thursday, as it premiered at the festival ahead of Glover’s headlining performance as his musical alter ego the next night.

Titled Guava Island, the 54-minute film was directed by Hiro Murai, who also collaborated with Glover for the momentous ‘This Is America’ MV and the Emmy-winning series Atlanta. The music-driven production stars Glover as happy-go-lucky singer Deni and Rihanna as his love interest Kofi. Nonso Anozie and Letitia Wright also make appearances. Guava Island is now available to stream on Amazon Prime.
