7 Things you can do this weekend: 30—31 December 2017

1. Festival Light And Motion Putrajaya (LAMPU) 2017 at Dataran Putrajaya, Precinct 3, 7.30pm – 12.30am, 28 – 31 Dec

From large-scale projection mapping to colourful light installations, be prepared to be enlightened by this huge festival. Also, bring a power bank.

2. A Sunday Affair x Dec 30 at TREC KL, 6pm – 1.30am, 30 Dec

For TREC KL, the party begins on Saturday with music-centric flea market A Sunday Affair. There’ll be music by DJs Chaseylain and Bunga of Twilight Actiongirl, Pastel Lite, and Juno & Hana; as well as 30 vendors for the artisan market portion. What’s even more exciting is the debut of pop-up art bar and eatery Fu Luck Bar.

3. Countdown Fireworks Display at Crystal & Pool Side @ The St. Regis KL, 11pm – 4am, 31 Dec

Avoid the massive crowds and enjoy the fireworks up-close from the pool side of The St. Regis KL.

4. Riuh: Hello 2018 at APW Bangsar, 4pm – 1am, 31 Dec

They did a great job with Christmas so now join them in welcoming the new year with an awesome curation of food stalls, live music and traditional dance performances, art installations (Hello Instagram!), an indoor picnic and fun-filled activities.

5. Goodbye 2017, Hello Babel! at Babel Fit @ Menara Ken TTDI, 6pm – 1am, 31 Dec

Get a head start on your 2018 resolutions and sweat your way to the new year. New gym in town, Babel is throwing a fitness countdown party complete with one workout session, live music performances, buffet dinner, an open bar, balloon drop and pop, a spectacular view of the city and more.

6. Publika New Year’s Eve Countdown at Publika Square, 5pm – 1am, 31 Dec

The theme is ultraviolet (we see you’re keeping in line with the 2018’s Pantone Colour, Publika) so go dressed in white or neon outfits (maybe not then) and join in the celebration. There’ll be augmented reality games, face pantings, photo booths, arts and cultural performances, music bands, dance performances, DJs on the decks and of course, fireworks.
