1. #WCoCafeTakeover at Kopenhagen Coffee @ Mont Kiara, till 31 March 2019

Wanderlust + Co has opened a pop-up at Kopenhagen Coffee, transforming the cafe into a floral wonderland and stocked up some shelves with their latest best-sellers. This will also be the perfect opportunity to check out their latest (and first ever) Charm collection for SS19. Visit them this Sunday, 24 March, from 2pm – 6pm and you’ll even be able to shop for some shoes by Kulet.

 

2. Sake Seminar at Isetan the Japan Store, varying session times, 23 & 24 March 

Get to know more about sake—how it’s made, the brewing process, and the best part of the session, tasting different temperatures of it. Apparently, different temperatures draw out different characteristics of sake.

Session 1, 23rd March:

– 13:30 – 15:00 (brewing process)

– 16:30 – 18:00 (sake tasting with different temperature)

Session 2, 24th March:

– 13:30 – 15:00 (sake tasting with different temperature)

– 16:30 – 18:00 (brewing process)

3. JungleBird 2nd Anniversary Bash at JungleBird @ Damansara Heights, 21 – 24 March

One of the most popular bars in town is celebrating their second anniversary with an exciting lineup of rum workshops, guest shifts and master classes.

4. Make a reservation for The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur’s Guest Star Chef Series

This time, the spotlight is on The Otowa Brothers of Japan—Chef Hajime Otowa of Otowa Restaurant and So Otowa of 1 Michelin starred “Ciel et Sol”. Both have mastered the the art of sophisticated French cuisine while maximising the taste of fresh ingredients from different regions of Japan.

For this one-of-a-kind dining experience, expect a 5-course menu with highlights such as Chicken Mousse with Foie Gras and Madeira Sauce, Amadai Crustian with Seaweed Sauce, and Wagyu with Lyonnaise.

Happening from 28th till 30th of March, The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur’s Guest Star Chef Series dinner is priced at RM480+ per person or RM680+ per person with alcohol pairing.

5. Sweet Dreams Festival at Tokyo Street @ Pavilion KL, 23 – 31 March

Treat your sweet tooth to the finest selection of ice creams and desserts as Pavilion KL has gathered them all under one roof for the rest of the month.

 

6. Sign up for The National Geographic Earth Day Run 2019 

Happening on 28 April 2019 at Gamuda Walk in Kota Kemuning, the theme this year is Planet or Plastic? The goal is to raise awareness on plastic pollution and reducing the amount of single-use plastics. Runners and event attendees will be encouraged to take the official Planet or Plastic? pledge to reduce their use of single-use plastic, starting with the run itself. No single-use plastics will be allowed at the event and runners will need to bring along their own reusable water bottles.

Not-so-fun fact: Nine million tons of plastic waste end up in the ocean each year and Asia is responsible for most of it. These very plastic waste could potentially remain in the marine environment for 450 years or longer, according to various estimations.

7. Keep an eye out for the pink KL Tower, 7pm – 12am, daily till 31 March

To celebrate Barbie’s 60th anniversary, “she” has teamed up with Tourism Malaysia to have the iconic KL Tower lit up in her signature pink shade every night till the end of the month. Photo op, anyone?
