2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards: BTS swept all the major categories, Dua Lipa collaborated with Mamamoo in a special performance
Hosted by Park Bo Gum for the third year in a row, the 2019 edition of the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) was held in Nagoya, Japan—the first ceremony to not take place in Hong Kong in seven years. Awards are tallied based on the following factors: online voting, MAMA professional panel (local and international), music sales, record sales, social media voting (for Worldwide Icon of the Year award), and global music video view counts (for Best Music Video and Global Top 10 Fans’ Choice). BTS, without a doubt the most popular K-Pop group in the world at the moment, bagged the most wins including the coveted Artist of the Year and Album of the Year awards. Twice, a popular girl group under JYP Entertainment, received four awards this evening, including Best Female Group. Take a look at the full list below!
