Everything You Need to Know About The First-Ever All-Electric MINI Aceman

Iconic in its own right, MINI has long been a leader in creating bold and charismatic cars for everyone to enjoy. You could recognise any of its cars from a mile away. In this era of electric vehicles and sustainability in automaking, we’ve seen a major shift in new launches leaning towards a no-fuel or hybrid system. MINI is now adding to the space with its all-electric MINI Aceman. Energetic, edgy, and daring, the MINI Aceman is the answer to all your eco-friendly SAV prayers. This latest addition to the MINI family does not compromise on anything from looks to its signature go-kart feel. Let’s get you acquainted.

SIMPLICITY MEETS CHARISMA

The MINI Aceman brings with it a contemporary look that also prioritises your driving pleasure. Despite taking a minimalist stature, the car still embodies the automaker’s iconic design language. In the front, the octagonal grille commands all attention. Meanwhile, the alloy wheels bring an element of class as do the car’s LED headlights and tail lamps. Its silhouette is as sleek as it comes, combining a confident disposition with style.

CHOOSE YOUR MINI EXPERIENCE

With MINI, you can count on every drive to be uniquely tailored to you and that’s all thanks to its eight distinct Experience Modes. While the Driving Modes modify the car’s dynamics to fit your driving preferences, the Experience Modes bring the entire car together with different looks and soundscapes. Some even match your chosen Driving Mode.

Take the Go-Kart Mode for example, as it pairs the more responsive and thrilling drive with a motorsport-inspired aesthetic that pays homage to MINI’s racing DNA. Meanwhile, the blue-themed Core Mode is the standard comfort drive, whereas the Green Mode is the extra-efficient drive with a modern, simple look to go with it. Now, pair all of that with the car’s low centre of gravity and aerodynamic drag coefficient and you’ve got yourself a steady ride.

ENJOY THE RIDE

We’ve touched on the MINI Aceman’s Go-Kart Mode above, but let’s really talk about it. The car is known for what they call a “go-kart feel”, but what exactly does that mean? First, an optimised weight distribution makes for a stable and agile ride. Second, a tight suspension and responsive steering also makes each drive easygoing with a little thrill every time. Lastly, the accelerator pedal’s sensitivity is increased to give you more control over your drives. With all that, you can zip through city streets and take on highways like a champ.

LEADER IN THE SAV PACK

Positioned somewhere in between the classic MINI Cooper and the Countryman, the MINI Aceman marks the automaker’s latest foray into the sports activity vehicle (SAV) space.  This means it’s a little larger than the compact Cooper but not as roomy as the Countryman. In terms of spaciousness, it fits five passengers comfortably and spans just over four metres in length. Not to mention, its rear seats can be folded down to expand your boot space from 300 litres to up to 1,005 litres. Functionality also continues in the cabin with the 240mm central OLED instrument and comfortable steering wheel. We’re telling you…it may seem compact, yet it is anything but.

A MINI FOOTPRINT

As part of its commitment to minimising its carbon footprint, MINI has taken steps towards a more circular production chain and economy. Within the MINI Aceman, you’ll find recycled materials, leather-free upholstery, and parts made with processes that use significantly less water while reducing CO2 emissions. Think rims partly made from reclaimed aluminium, recycled polyester yarn on the dashboards and door handles, plus knitted recycled textiles for your seats. And all this barely scrapes the surface of MINI’s dedication to sustainability.
